They whine like they are from California too. On the news tonight there were at least three leftist looking people acting like their world was coming to an end. The comrades on social media want someone "held responsible" of course. I even saw one person who claimed they wanted a "21st century" power solution of wind and renewables that wouldn't have these problems. Haha, like the windmills aren't a huge part of the problem.
Yeah, I've had power the whole time here so I guess I shouldn't talk too much. Still, I haven't seen one account of someone who was actually prepared. I've got a small amount of firewood on hand even though I never use the fireplace normally. I've got a nearly full tank of grill gas and a couple small tanks for my camping grill. Both cars have a full tank in case I want to charge something, go sit in them to warm up, go somewhere warm to eat, etc. I wouldn't even go out of my way to call myself well prepared either, just the bare minimum. These Californians should be used to it but they are the ones flowing with sob stories about how they are going to starve or freeze to death and want xir government to come save them.
I want people held responsible for the rolling black outs. Namely every retard who’s pushed to tie south texases power grid to wind farms. This wouldn’t be a fucking issue if we just went full nuclear.
Yeah I take it totally differently when a double masker or someone in a hat from a California sports team asks for responsibility. What that means is just pick whoever their least favorite Republican is and try to jail them whether they had anything to do with it or not.
I've heard there's been natural gas supply problems too causing less power to be available. That certainly needs to be worked out, there should be way more than enough supply of that. I bet that's a feasible short term workable fix.
There were a decent handful of politicians, not split across party lines no less, who either directly fought or went after funding for expansion of the two nuclear plants in the state as recent as 10 years ago. I think they even have the elusive regulatory approval. If I understand right they haven't proceeded because the state and or feds won't approve a loan guarantee. Don't even have to pay for it, just have the government co-sign a loan essentially. I'm sure just an excuse because they are afraid of nuclear.
Not gonna lie, was one of the lucky people to get power back at 11 PM, roughly an hour and a half after i somehow fell asleep between a wall of old bathrobes/blankets against my window and one little dog covered in a new fluffy as all hell bathrobe, still fully dressed with a coat on, but holy fuck it was miserable once the sun went down.
I can't blame people for getting upset but holy hell checking my phone and seeing people bitching about refunds and stuff, and people trying to blame left or right (at least the right had the shit about frozen wind turbines)
Oh yeah, I have no doubt it's brutal. I went through it a couple times as a kid. It's just like you said though, the second I went online looking around it's "fuck <insert politician here>" or bitching about how they should be compensated.
How long until Texas becomes a liberal state? My bet is in 10 years. Feel free to argue with me on how wrong I am on my estimate.
"Ah... just like old Gavin Newsom used to do back in Cali," said local resident Alice Muggins while lighting candles around the house. "I just wasn't used to having electrical power all the time and it felt really weird. Now, it feels a little more like home!"
If you mean liberal like giving electoral votes to the Dems, I give it 4 years. State government? 10-15. The dense areas like Dallas and Austin are absolutely packed with leftists in their little matching condos.
I'd love for them to all freak out and leave. It start with their stupidity and then when they get in trouble it's scream for the government.
I find the most ridiculous the ones without food. When the news and government tells them to wear a cloth all the time for a year they jump right on. Tell them to have a weeks worth of food around because they might need it, they buy a days worth and tell themselves, "I'm from Chic-ahhh-go it gets this cold up there and I never kept that much food." Totally not realizing that the situation is totally different here. I'm from the South and am approaching 40 and this is the coldest temperature I've ever experienced at home in my lifetime. It's that unusual. But it's not the natives that are whining, they are all out playing in the snow.
It's abhorrent that the left is gloating like they are right now. How can you call yourself the "Party of Empathy" while cheering that people are literally freezing to death just because they might be part of GOP? How fucking shortsighted are you?

This is mildly surprising. I kind of assumed liberals knew green energy is largely a bamboozle and actually want energy poverty.

Certainly blue by 2028. Possibly 2024 with so many moving there.
Damn it feels good to have nuclear.
Only thing that causes power outages are when drunks run into the right poles.
just tell them to go back whining in California or to man up. cucks
