Seeing Don Cherry get kicked off HNIC was an absolute disgrace as well.
I haven't followed hockey for many years, but when I would occasionally look at forums, it was full of wokeness (though I can't say what percentage were American).
WTF happened to you people?? Never would have guessed that this bastion would topple over.
Before covid, there was no such thing as illegal hockey or illegal tobogganing. A year ago, kids could do these things in public without getting fucking arrested.
Every life "saved" has been hypothetical. We've come past "held accountable for lives lost" to "taking credit for everyone who doesn't die". Now it's no longer the public blaming them for poorly handling a quarantine, its them blaming people for hypothetically getting themselves sick and making it an excuse for retaining special privileges for themselves.
"So your income has gone from ensuring your kids are comfortable to ensuring your kids are raised as wards of the government, so what? You're beingselfish!"
I would throw in Windsor for culture, not demographics (oh, I'm sure those changed in the past 20+ years, too, but demographics wasn't the point before cable - culturally, they're American. Older ones, anyway.)
I had some fun experiences in Canada, but either I just couldn't tell how bad it was as a foreigner or it's just gotten that much worse in such a short time. I almost went up there last January I wanted to skate in the Ottawa canals. I guess I should have as I'm sure that's too much of a health risk for the entirety of the future now.
Fun fact, I sat behind Horgan at the WJC a few years ago. I had no idea until people kept coming up to him. I guess that was my missed opportunity to save Canada from itself.
Seriously, this sounds like a sketch the Royal Canadian Air Farce (basically our SNL) would have done in their heyday.
Yes, like SNL the Air Farce used to be really funny then just became sad leftist "Harper Man Bad"

Even better that it happened right on the heels of the blackface incident the country just ignored
I still have one of their 10th anniversary shirts from the contest. And the autographed letter that came with it.

These politicians need to go.
All while completely ignoring the future damages and lives lost from the consequences of their "protection".

Hockey is still legal, but only if you're a professional or the mayor of Brampton.
Well, Toronto is one of the most unCanadian cities in the country.
Demographically that's probably true, Vancouver is up there too.
Looking it up: Toronto is 47.7% European ancestry, Vancouver is 46.2%, and most of the other big cities seem to be around 60%.

I wonder the same about Richmond.
canada is uncanadian now.
