If there was any justice then these lockdowns would have been unconstitutional in the first place. Trying to keep doing things only through legal channels will not have any fair or just results, that is quite clear by now.
The "models" used to justified such unprecedented infringements in basic liberties were off by a factor of 10+.
Sweden, threathened with 100k excess deaths if they didn't join the Lockdown Coronacultists. Had 8k potentially excess deaths and second lowest mortality in 10 years.
I lived in Austin in the late 80's. My strongest memory of it is the bugs, my god the bugs. Roaches and fire ants, inside and outside, absolutely crawling with bugs. I've never understood why it has such a great reputation, I never liked it.
I'm surprised they'd need an order in Austin, I figured the businesses there would all try to one up the other virtue signaling how early they'd close. I guess business has been that bad then.
Ken Paxton (Texas AG) is pretty tough on this stuff, but in the end he's an attorney. Court is his playground. The governor is the one that controls police and military forces, but he's a paper pusher and would never actually do anything. Local sheriffs can and have, but not in a place like Austin where they have a Democrat woman sheriff.
My personal experience in Texas, the leftist-run shitholes go full draconian with their restrictions and enforcement and the rest of the state is normal. Except magic face panties, you still see those in a lot of places. But get out of the city and no one gives a shit if you're actually wearing them.
Fuck that: send in the Texas Rangers to arrest the mayor for Civil Rights violations.
Right? I've never seen so many lawsuits thrown around, everybody is suing everybody for everything. And then nothing changes.
I think you're on the right track. All of these lawsuits denied, dismissed, delayed.
The Congressional branch of government is failing us, the judicial branch of the government punting, and local/state government gone off in a ditch.
They're all failing at the same time.
Oh don't be so defeatist. Some of the lawsuits will actually be won, but then have the ruling ignored.

Oh no we'll get fair and just results.
In about 6 years when the lawsuits go through about four appellate courts and sits on the SCOTUS docket for a couple of years.
By then it won't matter, but hey at least they'll have decreed it unconstitutional.
