Other option : Ivermectin is often used as a systemic ( not the SJW meaning ) anti-parasitic treatment to get rid of head lice. ( You take it and the lice die when feeding on you, provided you didn't get infested with a lice "line" that resist the typical treatment dose. )
Pharmacies probably carry it behind the counter, and you may be able to get it without a prescription by asking the Pharmacist. Not gonna be avaliable without a script everywhere.
You're probably better off sticking to some Vit D3 suplement as prevention, though.

Big +1 on this. While it’s likely obvious to most, don’t go playing around with this stuff. It’s been years since I handled it, so I don’t recall the specifics. I’m pretty sure I recall there being serious warnings about human use on the ivermectin sold for livestock.
