Well, those subscription tiers are pretty expensive, but they claim the free version will be the same as before and the subscription tiers will have content they wouldn't be able to publish normally due to demonetization threats. I'm not subscribing but I'm sure plenty of boomers will, so good for them.
The new layout is way worse than the old one, but that's just how modern web works.
