I think that it's saving face as Hispanics are assimilating and having kids with White people and voting like White people outside of California. Which ends up leading to unintentionally more White people

A lot of work was put into the reverse of that with making more mixed people to dilute the amount of white people, but they didn't realize if someone's half Mexican or half Puerto Rican they're like 80 or 90 percent White, they had this idea of the one drop rule. So you have a lot of people on paper who are claiming to be people of color when they're White skinned with green eyes.
