If you stop, they will get bored and leave.

I think making one reply to make fun of or refute them is fine. There's no need to do much more than that. If I was a mod I would definitely ban people like that though.
The sad thing with that is it keeps some of these people relevant and making large bank because of it.
Playing victim helps them raise money for their scams, if no-one responded to these vultures then they'd get cancelled. Like what most of them lobby for. Just desserts no?
I'd say look but don't touch, watch them say stupid shit online but also watch them fade in to nothing.
