Jon Stewart was a main contributing factor to my (and probably many in my generation's) distrust of the press and education on how they craft narratives. I take great pleasure when enemy propaganda is weaponized against them.
Shame Jon and The Daily Show didn't have that effect on the rest of the population. Most anyone ever got from it was to distrust ALL Republicans and right-wing politics.

With no live audience to feel from, no balanced mocking of the counterargument to what he is implying and certainly no conviction in what he is saying he has about as much worth as Boris Johnson does when it comes to giving an opinion on anything politics related.
He was a force for good, a troll and entertaining but then again so was Samantha Bee and nobody even needs to assert what she's become.
I still remember many years ago (way before 2019) when the left railed against voting machines because they were allegedly tied to evil corporations and Republicans.
Looks like that was yet another instance of projection and they've embraced them wholeheartedly because they control them.
