One of the biggest Twitch streamers in the world who was suddenly banned from Twitch with no warning just before the lockdowns, turns out that allegedly he was banned for sexting a minor through Twitch's DM service, 'Whispers', but the ex-Twitch employee that said that broke the NDA that the settlement was under by revealing so, but Dr. Disrespect claims that wasn't what happened and is rumored to be suing Twitch for defamation.

I think overall in terms of the drama stuff and normie trends we’re simply going to agree to disagree, mostly because the impending implosion of Nijisanji is one of the prime examples of how corporations are not your friend as an example, and I think that knowing what normies are viewing is useful because they vote too, whether you like it or not.

Normie =/= leftist

V-Tubers are anime adjacent, especially in Japan because they’re completely mainstream over there so V-Tubers are entwined with the anime censorship stuff.

This particular post was mostly because he came up a few times as a part of the fat positivity bullshit and him having faked the world out this whole time is relevant.

But overall I do think it’s useful to understand what normies view because of trends for later

I completely checked out of politics because mom’s a normie and I’ve already decided who I’m voting for, so I don’t really see a point in commenting on anything political, but pop culture is in fact relevant.

For people who actively avoid anything normies are into, of course you wouldn’t know who this is, but because I like watching normie YouTube so see across the lines and this came up on my feed

Yeah, apparently he literally planned all of this for years, hasn't made a video for 2 years, and was vegan before gaining all that weight.

The meltdowns were fake and all

The premise of Daima is a demon de-aged the cast

Holo doesn’t, they just say idols, talents or vtubers, Niji was trying to do a Vince McMahon and cause an industry shift in terms of the terminology and that fell on its face

even the story for League of Legends is pretty mid. it was one of the WC3 DOTA offshoots, and they just started making up dumb shit behind the characters and making sense of what's going on. most people don't care. kill minions, kill opponents, destroy buildings, win game.

Enough people do care to where they actually did start writing stories and making spin-offs, but to be honest, LoL is just a waifu skin simulator at this point, the last time I opened League was to get all of the K/DA ALL OUT skins

Yeah, I heard about that but didn’t post on it last week mostly because I didn’t have enough info, but FalseEyeD did a video on it so that’s good enough with me.

Hex Haywire’s graduation stream is today and Aqua’s is a few days after so I can’t wait for those, especially if they’ll start posting on their PLs.

They send the shirts for the losing teams in the playoffs to Africa so maybe there

We helped them cover their war crimes up because we did what we did with Nazi scientists for nukes with the people in charge of Unit 731 for chemical weapons. Declassified in the 90s, basically we intentionally fucked up the Tokyo version of the Nuremberg Trials so we could have the information.

This actually covers the coverup which I genuinely didn’t know about until a month or so ago when I was on my history binge

Was that how she looked in 2014? Either way, she literally did it again, with Alec Holowka (probably butchered the name) committing suicide because of her false accusation

To further dumb it down, mainly because I think the stuff with Metaphysic is very different to what vtubers do, think professional wrestling but with anime characters instead.

I thought Zen was a dude too until multiple streamers have talked about meeting Zen IRL, so I'm just gonna chalk it up to extra shyness, because it doesn't really matter.

I wouldn't say obsessed, just interested. I'm mostly a clip viewer anyways and a lot of why I'm asking this question is because of how much Eastern media is being consumed by the West and the fact that idol culture is a massive part of corporate V-Tubing especially. With Hololive's first 3 English generations about to do a concert at Kings' Theatre and Yagoo's very clear push to try and make the industry mainstream in the West, it came to mind.

VTubers are already mainstream in Japan, with cameos on various TV shows, appearances on the Japanese equivalent of Good Morning America/The Today Show/etc, promotions with Japanese 7-Elevens, and I can keep going on, but I think it's inevitable for the industry to go mainstream in the west, which is what Motoaki Tanigo (Yagoo) wants. There's no point in the Dodgers night otherwise.

The FalseEyeD video linked in the post has screenshots of the pictures + a video of the perp and his Twitter accounts, but AFAIK she isn't, or at least I haven't seen evidence that she is but I am open to seeing any supposed evidence.

These are his twitter accounts and her posting about him stalking her in 2018. I do hope he's never been to Austria before, but apparently this is the first time he's done this ever since she became Kiara, so hopefully this amplifies things more.

No, only corporate VTubers are forbidden from saying publically that they are said VTubers, but two things:

The way Youtube's algorithm works is that it includes the metadata of the videos themselves, ala if a corporate VTuber uses the same computer for both her VTuber channel and her non-corpo channel, the algorithm will occasionally recommend the non-corpo account. That's what happened with a lot of people.

The other thing is that voices are very recognizable, which is why for example it was very easy to tell that IryS of Hololive was Namirin as an example, who has one of the most viewed cover songs of all time on her channel.

But having seen multiple VTuber's IRL accounts, he's right, the majority of vtubers who have IRL accounts are very attractive, they chose vtubing either for the sake of security, the low self esteem bit, or just because they like anime a ton. Kson, formerly Coco Kiryu of Hololive has said the reason she ended up as Coco was because she wanted to be able to stream without doing her makeup first, and she's hot as fuck, to the point where she went to audition for a cameo in the latest Yakuza and got in over several models and JAV actresses.

To play devil's advocate, this is somewhat inevitable because of the way that Western media is going, people are going to turn to Eastern media, and vtubers as a whole started out in the East to begin with.

Ehh, it depends on your definition of parasocial, because there's a difference for just being a fan of someone versus the talent actively baiting the audience into considering themselves in a pseudo-relationship with you, which a lot of Hex's content is the latter, hence why I mentioned the fake suicide to make my point.

The worse part is because she's a gaijin, the police are barely gonna help, and because this is outside of her activities as Kiara, I doubt Cover's gonna up her security or anything, but at least this stalker is known, 4chan doxxed him the moment she put his picture out there.
