I mean, writing a message doesn't take much time. At worst nobody cares, at best it generates controversy (and it looks like it does), it makes him ever slightly more relevant and has the added benefit of possibly sell more of his shit if Sony reacts.

Though I hate it, I'd say it's a winning move overall.

I suppose they are not brainwashed with wokeness the same way Americans are, are they? I only have first-hand experience with Japan and Thailand myself and, while there is a lot that could be said, at least there is no trace of the craze America is currently going through.

Other than that, I concur, she does look Chinese.

Yes, they want to change their name. No, it's not because of J.K.R comments.

It has to do with copyright and ability to fund the sport.

Asian American women, yes.

Your regular Asian women are usually not.

I'd say Mario is in fact one of the few, if not the only, platformer that successfully transitioned to 3D.

But I agree that it's still best suited for 2D.

This is not a means of (significantly) reducing population. The overpopulation problem doesn't come from developed countries like Switzerland, those countries already have declining populations.

I have no data on that, but I doubt developing countries, where overpopulation happens, have as many suicidal people.

You don't understand, language is beautiful and alive. We should not stifle its evolution!

In my experience, they hate Chinese more than Koreans most of the time. Korean culture is a bit closer to the Japanese one, so they are seen as less crass and disrespectful than Chinese. Also Korean idols are really popular which contributes as well. Also worth noting that Chinese people are the majority immigrant by a lot. However, I suppose your mileage may vary depending on who you're talking to.

I can concur that as a foreigner, you'd better not try anything illegal if you intend to stay there though.

While being gay/trans in the western way is indeed frowned upon in Japan more than in the west, gay people are accepted more and more (without being put on a pedestal).

As for trans, the "Okama", which are basically transvestites have been a popular feature of culture for a long time, with some even being major personalities in the media. However, it's mostly played for comedy rather than "empowerment".

I'm glad to say that I haven't seen much of the American-style TRA/SJW here.
