Yeah. Based on previous “model or actress turned politician” cases, I doubt she’ll stick around very long at the provincial level…

She’ll either rapidly rise to the top, or quit and fade into (political) obscurity…

She was on a dating TV show, before all this, ffs, and she studied “fashion”…

And then apparently that billboard/poster was before she was elected. So essentially she said “Yeah, I’ll be the face of this”, and then used that recognition to actually get in…

It’s almost certainly all a grift.

But I agree that she is hot. So there’s that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I unironically think “race relations” with that group were better when Chief Wahoo was still around, the Redskins hadn’t bent the knee, and whites could still wear headdresses to parties…

FFS, I wore full “Indian garb” to a party (admittedly, on a different continent) a little over a decade ago, and no one batted an eyelid.

Now, those same people wouldn’t even speak to me again, if I did the same…

And all the festivals, again, in Australia, won’t even let you enter, with headdress on.

The “offense-taking on behalf of others” has gone totally insane…

Maybe if she admitted to being a she, and didn’t literally stand there in the trans bikini with a defiled Irish flag with “Crown the Witch” inked on it, I would let it pass…

And sure, it’s all an act (as is very obvious from that interview I linked), but unlike Finland, it’s not even good. It’s fully intended to piss off as many people back home in Ireland as possible (successfully, I might add), but unlike Slovenia, which also did an act/song about a witch, I would call it more just shit, than subversive…

Even the extremely gay Australian Eurovision host thought it went too far, which says a lot.

I think the difference is that Finland has a history with this sort of… “Subversive” subculture, even before Lordi. Ireland does not.

But really I just hate anyone who tries to force those around them to use their bullshit “no -binary” pronouns, so maybe that plays into my dislike more than almost anything else…

This was literally a plot point in I, Robot (the movie), no..?

3
bamboozler1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah no worries. Eurovision tends to "officially" upload all of these music videos, and then the live performances, and then they will be ripped later. So if you wait a few days, there will no doubt be rips of her live performance at the semi (which managed to be both terrible and genuinely unsettling) floating around.

Unfortunately she also somehow managed to make the final, so... We'll see what comes out of that performance, I guess.

Going off this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXjbGVBbrx0

I would say that in a different era, where degeneracy wasn't celebrated as it is, she could've been a relatively normal chick (and indeed, perhaps might have gone somewhere with the ballet career)...

I mean, clearly there is trauma there (I doubt she would do this act without it), but thankfully it seems like a lot of it is staged...

The nonbinary shit is still absurd, but she, in that interview, just comes off like the several other zoomer chicks I've met who claim to be "queer" or "nonbinary" after a traumatic past...

It's the official Eurovision channel. So yes to the globohomo bit...

Honestly, if you just search for it by name, there will be a ripped version out there somewhere on a different channel, I'm sure.

However it is genuinely terrible, and just... Ick, so you're not missing much if you choose not to watch it at all.

There's many better previous Irish entries out there. In facet, compared to this one, I would take literally any one of them, including both Jedward and the damn rubber chicken from 30 years ago...

You’ll be glad to hear (if you haven’t already) that they didn’t even make the final, lol…

But yeah, SBS is acting as if this is the first time we’ve sent an “Indigenous” performer, despite, by my count, this being the fifth damn time, which is more than half of our total participations…

Oh, but none of those were faggots, “sang” in Abo, or played a didge on stage, which somehow makes this “historic”, apparently…

Insane. Absolute clown world, and, as you say, absolutely not what the country wanted…

A bit like how SBS (along with our telcos) blocks both televoting and SMS voting in this country, which makes it much harder and more tedious for Aussies to vote (it’s online, and you still have to pay), because they fucking hate us, essentially…

There aren’t many other participating countries that hold their own populace in such contempt, compared to SBS (and maybe the BBC + RTE), I feel.

Honestly, the scary thing is that Ireland kept sending more “normal” or, you might say, “expected” acts, the last few years, and not even making it through to the Final, and then they sent this freak, this year, and the public voted it through to the final

Trouble is that when that sort of situation happens, countries tend to send similar acts the next couple of years, so… Expect more of this type of vile stuff to come out of Eire, the next few years.

Unfortunately I don’t think RTE gives a shit what the public thinks; they’re more likely to listen to that subreddit I linked than to the general public at large…

Funnily enough, Australia is being represented at Eurovision this year by a bunch of brown (native) faggots, including a drag queen, so yeah…

Seems, unfortunately, like a fair representation of where we are at as a country these days…

15
bamboozler1 15 points ago +15 / -0

If you read the full article, it gets so much worse…

Anne Hidalgo, the commie mayor of Paris, blamed criticism of this on “far right extremists”. And then the drag queen freak went on to say how trannies should be “welcomed across sports”, and that the IOC leaving it up to individual sports to decide on that issue was “a way of excluding transgender individuals”…

I hate this timeline. I’m one of the biggest Olympic fans you out there (unironically), and I hate everything about this

Why? Why is this shit pushed everywhere, all the time, now?

It’s so in your face, too. And they are so insistent on making it inescapable…

It’s at my local pub. It’s taken over the Australian coverage of Eurovision (that one’s less surprising, but still), it’s on tv ads, it’s at music festivals, and now… This.

If anything best represents our “Weimar society”, I think it’s this “trend”…

I genuinely find it disgusting, which I suppose at this point makes me a cancellable bigot.

From the cursory reading I did on here, she seems like a complete grifter, or, as you say, a PolitiThot…

Sure, she says the right things (and somehow got herself elected to a district council) but most of it just screams “attention seeker”, to me…

Which is fine, but… I would question her convictions, even more than say, Lauren Southern as we were talking about yesterday…

bamboozler1 6 points ago +6 / -0

Apparently she's a "former model". She's only 27, so I guess she gave that up pretty quick, lol.

Marion Maréchal (Le Pen's niece) is also very attractive, but I think this German chick takes the cake.

There's also Ebba Busch in Sweden (deputy Prime Minister), who isn't quite as model-attractive, but still.

You're welcome, ha.

bamboozler1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wait, is that... Is that actually her in that ad..? It really does look like her...

That's... Bold, if so. Putting herself as the model, there.

Also, for the curious, the translation of the red text box would seem to (literally) be: "German woman not fair game. Got it?"

And for the blue: "Fresh wind [breeze] instead of hot air."

And finally, the other text is: "Demand integration bindingly."

Native speakers/more fluent people, feel free to correct anything I took too literally!

Good ghost writer, would be my guess...

I suppose the funding/support dried up when/shortly before she shacked up, and then she followed the guy, made a bunch of stupid decisions, and now is desperately trying to stay "relevant", when she clearly isn't anymore...

I hate to say it, but I doubt she was ever as "independent" or "transgressive" as she made herself out to be...

bamboozler1 5 points ago +5 / -0

Because her hubby was a fed, I assume..?

But also yes. Foodie Dostoevsky says hi.

I mean, it’s not quite the same, of course, but my University has attempted to “reprogram” me more than once, because I wasn’t playing their mind games and becoming adequately brainwashed, lol…

They even (unsuccessfully) tried to make me swear that I was “reformed”, and “knew better now”, re things that happened in my personal life, totally outside of the classroom (and which should have been none of their business)…

So I guess it’s not just the government that does it…

bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I did always wonder how she got so big, so fast, at such a young age...

So maybe there's something to that.

What is "couch casting behaviour", may I ask..?

bamboozler1 13 points ago +13 / -0

I agree that the husband should at least spend some time with the kids/help out a little, but I completely disagree that the wife should work. At all.

In an ideal trad situation, the wife should be at home, looking after the kids and everything else there. Not working. As was literally the norm until relatively recently...

Not saying it is necessarily feasible to do that, in our current society, in most Western countries, but that is the ideal that should be pursued where/as much as possible, IMHO...

bamboozler1 9 points ago +9 / -0

Slight return: Man, she reads as incredibly stupid and naive, in that sharticle...

I have a reasonable amount of sympathy for abuse victims (if she actually was, in this case), but god does she ever read as incredibly dumb, here...

Also, "his job required a high level of government security clearance" - who on earth did she marry, does anyone actually know??!

8
bamboozler1 8 points ago +8 / -0

Oh, so that's what happened...

Ahahahahahaha... I wondered why she fucked off back to Canada, and stopped talking about her husband/being a tradwife entirely, and why her politics seemed to have shifted (again)...

All I can say is that I feel for her poor kid. Much though Lauren was "famous", and had done a lot of media stuff by the time she shacked up, I never thought she was mature enough, at that point, to make the apparent "lifestyle change" she claimed...

Seems I was right, as, I'm sure, were many others here.
