All I can say is that I feel for her poor kid. Much though Lauren was "famous", and had done a lot of media stuff by the time she shacked up, I never thought she was mature enough, at that point, to make the apparent "lifestyle change" she claimed...

The real moral of the story, which she probably didn't intend to tell, is that governments can easily unleash enough psychic torture on anybody they want to completely rewire their fundamental beliefs.
I mean, it’s not quite the same, of course, but my University has attempted to “reprogram” me more than once, because I wasn’t playing their mind games and becoming adequately brainwashed, lol…
They even (unsuccessfully) tried to make me swear that I was “reformed”, and “knew better now”, re things that happened in my personal life, totally outside of the classroom (and which should have been none of their business)…
So I guess it’s not just the government that does it…
