My brain misfires every time I read or hear a leftist call the right "intolerant". That level of hypocrisy should not be possible.
I heard of DLive because, hmm, was it Pewdiepie who went there for a bit? Then left? Dunno. I heard negative things about it (can't remember what even) so never checked it out. The only real competition for Twitch that I know of is YouTube, and there is not a snow man's chance in hell I am streaming there.
I’ve noticed a lot of YouTubers doing it. I actually sometimes struggle to find Tim Pool videos in my subscriptions as a result.
With the rug pulled from under Mixer, are there any good alternatives to Twitch left?
Angela Merkel in support of free speech?! Bit early for April fools, isn’t it?
Big tech is going to turn this shit up way the fuck past 11 now. I suspect they are going to make 1984 look like a children’s bed time story now that they will have zero opposition and a government that will fully support them.
Ugh, agreed on Pinterest. Fuck that site so much. It is as bad as those directory sites where of you search for something obscure and you get results that match your search perfectly only to find it is just more fucking search results for your keywords rather than an actual website about the topic.
I consider myself to be centrist. I do so because I tend to fall in the middle on most polarising issues.
For example:
- I support abortion, but do think there should be rules around it such as term limits. I’d also like to see something done about the disgusting people who are so pro-abortion they get a kick out of it. Wasn’t it Lena Dunham who said she wished she had one? Yeah, that shit.
- I support gun rights, completely. If you take away legally owned guns from law abiding citizens, only criminals would have them. My country got fucked over in this regard after a certain mosque shooting, and it is very worrying.
- I support free speech, and detest censorship.
- I believe that rehabilitation is better than locking people up for non violent crimes, except for repeat offenders. Violent crimes should be punished as harshly as the law allows.
- I detest socialism, but do believe that unregulated capitalism is not ideal. For example, how is lobbying legal? It doesn’t make sense to me that some mega corporation is allowed to influence government this way. Government is supposed to represent the people, not fucking Amazon, Google etc.
- I am sick and tired of trans shit. I know trans people, and treat them with respect and call them she/her etc. BUT, my wife has a lot of “non-binary” friends with “she/they” and other nonsense pronouns. They is prural, I’m not calling anyone a fucking “they”. I am also disgusted at the trans activists pushing their shit on children, and how nobody is allowed to criticise them.
- I did and still do support gay marriage. Don’t see why two people who love each other shouldn’t be able to get married.
- I do not support affirmative action, but I do believe that people who grew up in poverty are disadvantaged when it comes to things like education. I do support programs to help these people get on a level playing field, so when they leave University or whatever, they have as much a chance as anyone else to go and make something of themselves.
- Continuing from my previous point, I do believe in meritocracy. Give underprivileged people a leg up at the start, but don’t do it based on skin colour, gender etc. I disagree with gender/racial etc quotas. People should get jobs and promoted accosting to their skills, work ethic, dedication etc.
- Also, while I support giving underprivileged people help, whether through university programs aimed at letting more people from that group in, I believe it should be based on class, not race, gender etc. White people can be just as underprivileged as black people, men as much as women etc.
- Anti-white racism exists, and is disgusting. I hate how the left has redefined racism in such a way that they can be insanely racist and it is not only OK, it is widely accepted and encouraged.
In summary, I consider myself centrist because there are issues where I am somewhat more left leaning, while there are other issues I am more right leaning on. For others, I am somewhere in the middle. The issues above are just whatever examples I could come up with while having my morning coffee.
Oh for fuck sake...
Nobody is forcing you to stay in the US. You can return to the “country you love” whenever the hell you want!
