This was brought up in a conversation here. I thought Michael Crichton would be perfect since the speech seems so real and was given 20 years ago.

What brought it up was the conversation on Hydrogen. Without any government push, we have been moving toward Hydrogen as a fuel source for a long time. We are starting to get it directly, but it's not working perfectly. I expect all of that to be figured out soon enough.

This speech is what broke me from the lefty at the theater and design scene, to hiding what I actually believed out of fear. As he said in a different speech, this is all a religion in the guise of information. I would be a sinner and shunned.

If you say green, you get better funding.

That was basically what they did in Japan for decades. They had the standard design and built off it. That's why a civic and a Celica look so similar. The problem was the only way to make these cars was the assembly line.

The same goes for arcade games. After standards were made, games by separate game companies could be swapped out. It helped the competition a lot, and companies like Sega let smaller companies release games for their arcade consoles. This is how the Dreamcast and Saturn could do ports so well.

You are right, it would take a replicator to really move things along. If the car met specific standards for safety, IE the basic box car like Japan. I can see it working though.

Thank you, I forgot the name of the story, but wanted to tell that joke.

I think I remember this. It was talked a lot during the early 80's when Star Wars was an actual thing.

Honestly I think car companies should release designs and let people make their own cars. It helps out shops, and means a lot less is spent on the manufacturing process. Something like Steam, and connections to shops would be perfect.

You bought the design, it cost $2,000. Then you go to a shop to build it, another $2,000 for the people building it. Then the cost of the materials, which can be $2,000 or you can go for rare materials and spend more. It's up to you.

Release the designs of all the old cars, and charge a small amount to get it, and watch how many people jump on that. I could still have my '85 Celica if that existed.

That is a good point. We could travel through space, or nuke others more easily. Likely both will happen.

So, now they're back from outer space?

The same way Steven Segal did it, someone decided to make them famous to prove their own power.

I would overwhelm it with remote control boxes and ghosts.

Put Lizzo on the 1000£ note, cause it's accurate.

Sooo... Another game that's $5 in a few months?

That's the wonder of the art, and the game series in general.

I don't post there, and this is to help people get through all the darkness.

With the MRNA thing, I'm sort of fine with that.

I live in Central Florida. It feels real.

I bow to reality though. We just need to wait 2 weeks...

I have a really cynical theory. So long as the elite have power, they keep taking out presidents and replacing them with a new leader. 8 years as president because 2+4+2= 8. Keep at it for 10-20 years and it's the new norm.

She died suddenly afterwards. Her last words were, "No you fool, that includes us."

By everything I have seen Disney will be a special district, but that district will follow all state and federal guidelines.
