Singing, chanting, shouting, and physical exertion significantly increases the risk of COVID-19 transmission because these activities increase the release of respiratory droplets and fine aerosols into the air. Because of this, singing, chanting, and shouting are strongly discouraged, but if they occur, the following rules and recommendations apply: All people who are singing or chanting should wear a face covering at all times while singing or chanting, including anyone who is leading a song or chant. Because these activities pose a very high risk of COVID-19 transmission, face coverings are essential to reduce the spread of respiratory droplets and fine aerosols; People who are singing, shouting, chanting, or exercising are strongly encouraged to maintain physical distancing beyond 6 feet to further reduce risk. People who are singing or chanting are strongly encouraged to do so quietly (at or below the volume of a normal speaking voice). Instrumental music is allowed as long as the musicians maintain at least 6-foot physical distancing. Musicians must be from one of the three households. Playing of wind instruments (any instrument played by the mouth, such as a trumpet or clarinet) is strongly discouraged.
I see a whole lot of "should" and "should not" and "strongly discouraged" and no "shall not" or "is unlawful" or "violations will be treated as a misdemeanor under Section XYZ of the California Public Health Code"
People really need to read and understand these orders instead of what the news tells them is in the orders.
Oh shit dude. I'll be honest, I didn't notice it until you pointed that out. They got me. Are we all zogged too?
Wait a minute. That's not what YESmovement was talking about at all though...
I don't even see penalties related to what YESmovement is saying. There's a bunch of "you can't do this" but no mention of what happens if you do. Is the penalty summary execution, imprisonment, fine? They don't say or reference a law or regulation this "order" falls under.
In contrast, in WA our local tyrant's "order" references a section in the Health Code which people not wearing masks could be cited against. Of course that section of the Health Code specifies a maximum penalty of a $100 fine so it's not even as bad as a speeding ticket, but it at least attempts to be enforceable.
Unless there is a separate document in CA that is the actual regulation that this is merely summarizing; I didn't dig into that because I'm not stepping foot in that state until all this shit is done and gone.
yesmovement said that OP's article is from a parody site. and OP just cited a part of his article to show it wasn't BS.
Yes, I agree with you about the enforcement vs. suggestion argument. OP's interpretation after reading the article isn't in question.
At this point, I'm beginning to genuinely wonder if this is all some sort of elaborate plot by the Grinch to steal Christmas.
Most of the lefties I know are already canceling the holidays. A lot of them don't have kids or a spouse, so this means literally no Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's of any kind. That's some next level cultural/family atomization. What happens to people when they're isolated to this degree? I think we're about to see an historic uptick in suicides, domestic violence, and violent crime.
This will mostly happen to leftists because conservatives are saying fuck it and having their holidays anyways. So if Trump wins, and the lockdowns continue (because they are almost entirely political), on top of the immense lefty depression brought on by the victory of literally Hitler, we could have a real problem in our hands.
You're right that it's only slightly a joke. I wouldn't call it atomization, I would call it isolation and dependency on their ideologues for emotional affirmation.
You're joking, but it actually is: they're doing this to make people miserable, it's that simple. Tucker did a good video about this (from 3:08)
Yeah, that's clearly parody and should be labelled as such
