white people also lived in southern africa to a surprising degree (before colonisation), descendants of traders, shipwrecked mariners etc and in north africa slaves.
But you will never see diversity in an african village on tv.
Ask likely as a show about black slave owners in the U.S. That would actually be some interesting history too
