Almost needless to say, it's great that Reinohl's become a good commie at last, though it does sadly mean that he can't be coerced into giving up the rest of the Antifa death squad he worked with.
On this tankie-ridden Paradox mod Discord I'm lurking in, they're all calling Reinohl a martyr and hoping that his death will be a rallying flashpoint for a revolution to finally overthrow the American gov't, so maybe that's what will happen. I kinda doubt it though, these people were using his assassination of Danielson as a huge coping mechanism after Rittenhouse routed their other death squad in Kenosha and they'll probably go right back to being doomers about their revolution's prospects when more facts (and reality) sink in later in the morning.
I also hope it's a rallying flashpoint for communists, but for the opposite reason they do.
God, they're pathetic. I don't see them out there doing anything, just bitching on the internet and hoping someone doing stupid shit, killing someone, and then getting themselves killed will spark off a revolution and make other people do the work to usher in Glorious Communism. Just another example of communism being a failed ideology...they always expect everyone else to do the work toward the goals they want. Bitches, it's your vision...you work for it. (Just to be clear, I'm not advocating for either violence or communism, merely pointing out that expecting everyone else to do the heavy lifting is an ultimate bitch move.)

You are correct, thanks. In my defense, I was just about to hit the sheets when I wrote that, and certainly sleepier than Nancy Pelosi when she called George Floyd 'George Kirby'.

No problem. The Olympian article updates very frequently though, now it's saying that Reinohl had an assault rifle and that many of those 30-40 shots (maybe as many as 50) were fired by him. A refresh every 15-30 minutes might be necessary to catch all the updates.

Hadn't seen that update until now. Unless this was both law enforcement (which is possible, there were multiple agencies there, and people arriving at different times, and at least four officers fired their weapons), it does make it sound like Reinohl either opened or returned fire.
The Olympian article's updated again to say that LE tried to take Reinohl alive at first but then he opened fire. Makes sense TBH, his online history (and of course his actions in meatspace) show that he's obviously an ideological zealot and not all there in the head.
Though if he was fantasizing about going out in a blaze of glory or worse still, somehow wining like he's the star of a Communist propaganda movie, his 40:0 shots:kills ratio shows that he's only capable of winning when ambushing random unarmed people and no good in an actual fight...
I really doubt anyone involved was using black powder.
