What they are trying to do with this propaganda is instil doubt. The goal is:
You read it, and think it's stupid. (2+2=5 is obviously incorrect)
They go through belaboured intellectual hoops to show otherwise. It's broken down into a series of steps where the stupidity is harder to locate. (2+2=5 if you assume 4=5 or some stupid shit)
You have subconsciously accepted that you might be wrong to trust your own intuition.
You are now more ready to be controlled.
