I talk to my neighbors when I see them outside. I don't "plan" anything; I just try to be friendly.
The other day my neighbor talked about doing some significant landscaping and alluded to it being necessary "if I needed to sell the house", and I told her I wouldn't blame her since I'm not sticking around forever either if things don't open back up. That turned into a long discussion on related topics, and now we have a level of understanding and trust between each other on that subject.
Mixing online and real-world is a dangerous game. It's unfortunate, because there's a couple people here I'm quite certain live close enough we could easily meet in-person.
Yeah but it's a valuable skill to have. At a minimum, knowing who in your neighborhood can't be trusted is a valuable piece of data. As is finding that out without giving away your own position.
