If they're engaging in this in any capacity it means they're already compromised and it's just a matter of time before the rot starts to show itself.

I'm mildly hopeful that as they destroy one of the largest circuses in the world people will start to have nothing left to escape to and will begin mounting a harsh and forceful opposition to all of this bullshit. None of this is going to end until people get furious enough to force it to end.
