Did they? My salary has nearly doubled since COVID and I'm doing the same work.
Inflation doesn't actually reduce your purchasing power because the price of labor goes up with inflation. Inflation doesn't reduce labor income. Price of goods go up but so too does your income and your overall purchasing power stays the same.
Inflation had nothing to do with your lower pay. The government chose to pay you less. You're unfortunately in a government controlled profession. Even if Inflation didn't go up, the government would have just lowered your pay.
No, you guys are just scapegoating inflation when it's not even the problem. The problem is government. Immigration, taxes, social programs. These are all problems. Inflation isn't the problem. You wouldn't be earning $200k/yr if not for inflation. You think if we were still on the gold standard your boss would be paying you $300k/yr worth of gold today? No, he'd be paying you $40k/yr worth of gold. Your pay and purchasing power would still be the same today even if there was no inflation. The reason your purchasing power is so low is immigration, women in the work force, DEI, government regulations, free trade, lack of capital controls, taxes, and social programs. Without these, your purchasing power goes up. Inflation isn't the problem.
But you already had $0 so what does it matter? At least your debt went down.
And so did your purchasing power.... and life conditions in general...

Well I can tell youre not a teacher because I went from 62,000 to 72,000, and my "net" income has basically went from 36,000 to 38,000.
Taxes went up, mandatory insurance went up, deductions went up, etc etc.
A 4% net raise since covid.

I thought you were retarded, but now, obviously, you're just a troll.
