On must ask themselves; do I believe the Bible is true and the Word of God? Like actually believe it. Not just the parts your like or the parts you're comfortable with, the parts that feel good to modern sensibilities, and so on. Do ones believe in God, does one really believe He is infinitely good and right, and whatever He says is completely true? Or are they someone who kind of likes feeling like they believe some of the more encouraging sounding poetics of it, but deep down they don't really care or believe in it?
Of course the left has been chanting "Feel! Don't think!" but I think (feel too) that thinking about one's spirituality is a very good idea.
Science keeps saying meditation is good for us, like prayers for example. The left wants to exclude those & focus on hippy-dippy stuff, of course.
Being a Deist, I get to believe in God (the All Creator) and just consider things like Bibles and Holy Persons as options. Advice. Literalists are generally a sad lot, I find. Or rabid zealots like 90% of Muslims...
