There isn’t video of him with a gun in his pants. There’s video of a guy with a slight limp.
Or there is a video of him with a gun in his pants. The video doesn't prove or disprove whether he had a gun in his pants; we can't see a barrel and we can't see why he's limping.
But you didn't answer the question, unless you're saying you need to have seen the barrel. Is that your standard in any other murder, 1080p video of the moment itself?
A guy that's at the location, acting suspicious, with motive, said he did it, his boyfriend said he did it. That's already more proof than most convictions.
To directly answer your question: no that isn’t my standard but it’s an extremely important part of this investigation because it would disprove that the shot came from anywhere else other than that rooftop. The police/fbi edited the footage down to show him running away so they absolutely should have the rest of the video and it’s suspicious if they choose to not show it.
Also just to be clear, the video wasn’t high def but it was clear enough to show that the shot was taken
Also a note and text messages allegedly showed he admitted guilt but obviously those two things would be very very easy to fake. The discord messages don’t sound like they were written by a man his age but that should be provable in court by analyzing past texts/discord Messages he’s written. And he claims in the texts he was going to “take the secret to his grave” and then goes on to describe every bit of detail about how and why he did it and also left a handwritten note admitting everything. None of these are smoking guns but this plus a hundred other things add up to a weak case against him.
Sorry this is so long but I also think he’ll be convicted or take a plea deal because high profile cases aren’t about guilt, they’re often about who’s got better lawyers and I don’t think it’s him from what I’ve seen

It wouldn't prove that at all. Maybe the guy just coincidentally sneezed and that's why the pixels shifted a little bit. If he was the supposed fall guy maybe they told him when to twitch to make it look like he shot.
Having unreasonable standards goes both ways, you're using it to pretend there's some other explanation than the obvious and I can use it to dismiss any counter point you make.
Instead you should just go by your normal standards, which I think you've basically said the other evidence is sufficient to convict him on.
And exactly how easy is it to fake text messages? These are pictures of the boyfriend's phone while he's holding it and he's a corroborating witness. The easy explanation is that Tyler is a retard - and we already know he's a retard so that's a pretty compelling explanation.
But instead you believe what? Nation-state remote hacking of Tyler's phone before he was caught to covertly send those messages, or did they hack Discord? Boyfriend himself wrote both sides and then faked all the discord logs? What exactly do you think is anywhere even in competition with Tyler just being a retard?
The video doesn't prove or disprove whether he had a gun in his pants
And yet this is one of the key pieces of evidence "proving" that Tyler smuggled a gun onto the roof. Hilarious. "You can't prove he didn't have a gun" becomes evidence that "he had a gun."
A guy that's at the location, acting suspicious, with motive, said he did it
If Tyler actually confessed to his family or to police in person, this would hold a lot of weight. Notes and obviously faked text messages are worthless.
