Prisons are in fact ridiculous. We should turn Africa into a deportation zone for all criminals. No matter the crime, if you go to prison you get deported to Africa and aren't allowed back into the country until after your sentence. Your survival then depends entirely on you.
Murder or corruption by a government official should lead to execution though.
Permanent exile to Liberia, and working at the port is a punishment detail.
Won't ever happen but it's fun to dream.
