Well since your intent is clearly to try to call me out as ignorant, I'll push back. I do see kids outside. Maybe it's from being in a smaller town and not living in an urban ghetto, but kids still go outside. Is there a noticeable difference from the past, sure, as is there a noticeable difference in the amount of independence they have. I see them outside almost every day though.
No they aren't. Maybe you are so young as to not have that point of reference but no they are not. People are different. People spend a lot of energy showing that they are not different when they are.
