How many faggot shows this upcoming season? It's two airing right now, with at least one per season every season for the past year or so. I've definitely noticed a deliberate and concentrated push to make BL/yaoi faggot anime more mainstream and front and center than in the past. I'm not entirely sure I'd call this the golden age. I think it's the last gasp before anime goes full pozz.
It's been around for ages, and BL is very popular with ladies of certain ages. I think it's one of the least creative of any major anime/manga genre.
Any universe that gives us Frieren AND Made In Abyss has to be blessed indeed! 🙂 Not to mention Bakemonogatari, Non Non Biyori & Girls und Panzer, to name but a few.
Yes it has existed for a long time, but it has not been mainstream for a long time until recently. This was already clear in the comment you responded to.

Yeah that's what i noticed too. I glanced through this season and found nothing i wanted to check out and a lot of what i found was gayshit.

I was not emotionally prepared for Made in Abyss. The scenes with Mitty absolutely crushed me.
I actually contemplated dropping Frieren in the first few episodes, but ended up watching it all, and really enjoying it. Definitely a slow burn show.
