China does not have "open source AI." The people who say this are betting on you doing zero research or thinking about the proposition for more than a minute.

You can download several of China's models right now and run them offline. Or fine tune them to better fit your needs. That's way more open then "OpenAI".

Open weights are not "open source." If the material contained within is copyrighted then it cannot be open source and they're violating several licenses by releasing them.
