It's fucking infuriating that nobody cares, media cheers it up of course (like their cheered muh vax passport and muh 8pm curfew (yes you read that right)) and I'm just sick to death of this place.
Do those AI verification things still get fooled by AI selfies?
The only way an AI image validator won't get fooled by an image generator is if the validator is using a better model than the generator or the generator has been sabotaged in some way. Even with a weaker generator model, it'll still fool it sometimes, and hybrid techniques like altering a source photograph or post-processing a generated image would be even more successful. Like most new laws, this is designed to subjugate the already compliant, not actually stop bad actors.
