Has Bricks and Minifigs fucked themselves so hard that they may lose ALL their business over the coming months, even dragging a police department and judge down with them, 100% yes.
For what Ben was doing, it didn't justify the heavy handed response and given the amount of lawyers watching this, don't be surprised if some comedy and help Ben regarding 1st ammendment violations in regards to the gag order let alone the forced closure of the gofundme.
All I know is that some pretty heavy action has been taken on this Ben fellow and it seems, regardless of how it came about, that there's some big overlap between the rules and how they are applied evenly.
It all seems to be up in the air at the moment, but the distinct lack of ethics within what's transpired and how it is being reported (Or not) upon feels distinctly like 12 years ago within the gaming community.
I don't know anything about bricks or that minifag company. I'm only noticing another attempt at censorship by "Big-Lego" types through systemic hegemonic power within the law, and those reporting upon it on official channels, and think it's time again that us weirdos are being picked on by those who don't know who they are dealing with.
Seems to be the vibe that is riding just now and so I thought I'd add a little KiA2 slant on the action.
Misuse of gag orders from crooked courts reminds me of the start of gamergate.
My thoughts exactly!
It's crazy to think GG is around 14 years old now... That really opened my eyes to abuse of power and nepotism like nothing else ever had.
Some previous discussion on the shitshow modern Lego can be.

Ten days later and it's still gaining strength. You'd think those in the know would know better than to pursue this.
Has he been reckless, yes.

That and I have a couple of Lego video games :p
This doesn’t stop the reputational damage, it only solidified people’s opinions. All over probably around $60k, too.
I hope people actively try to ruin those cops lives forever and that they aren't forgotten in the newscycle whirlpool.
What I want to know, is how does he get served papers in email? While he couldn't serve papers in any attempted method, including email.
