I didn't see this posted yet and is perhaps the most culturally important gaming development that has occurred ever.
Without getting into politics or morality of sides, war has been forever changed and favors cheap rapid drone deployment overwhelming more expensive weapons and soldiers. Now the neckbeard eating Cheetos can kill 10 elite soldiers before lunch when he drinks a mountain dew.
Ukraine has released a drone training simulator, and is allegedly similar to how they train their people. They have managed against all odds to repel a much larger and better equipped foe, and are even exporting their tactics and training to the middle east.
These sorts of tactics put heavy manufacturing countries like China in an advantaged spot that I think other countries now must adapt to.
Experience means a lot in real warfighting. It's one of the reasons China isn't quite as strong as they'd like everyone to believe. They haven't actually fought a war in a long fucking time and all of their knowledge is based on training, simulation, and doctrine. They don't actually know if any of it will work or if the soldiers or equipment will perform. Ukraine and Russia, whatever is left of them after this is over, are going to have some of the most experienced warfighters on the planet, and experience in the new paradigm. The drone thing might end up being as important of a shift in strategy and tactics as maneuver warfare was after WWI.
All of our experience from the GWOT days retired, and it shows. Not just combat experience but logistical as well.
I'd say in terms of experience thanks to the corruption I mentioned before, Russia isn't going to benefit as much after this as they've been TOO MUCH using meat grinder tactics, including with talented soldiers because they could bribe as much.
But Ukraine's ALREADY getting money from their experienced drone operators and developers. It would be funny if this ends up another UNIT 731 situation where all their corruption is forgiven for their technical knowledge.
