Go try going on a pasture with a bull. Or cows with calves. Cows are rather docile domesticated animals after all.

You know elephant bulls exist too right? And during mating season they are notoriously aggressive. Elephant mothers are also very aggressive when it comes to protecting their offspring. Matriarchs are aggressive when it comes to protecting their herds.
But hey go ahead and approach a wild elephant. It's surely going to cuddle you and not slap the shit out of you for violating their personal space.
