We don't live in the 1800s. Before income tax, people were riding fucking horses on dirt roads. Of course in a world like that, governments don't need a lot of tax dollars.

And look at the dumb shit they (we) are paying for now. We wouldn't "need"* an income tax if we reigned in fraud, waste, abuse, immigration, and other forms of looting the treasury.

You have to be a troll. Property taxes paid for roads and infrastructure to include public works and schools. Why the fuck do you think there’s magically different neighborhoods with wildly different amenities despite being in the same city and state?
