I'm not really an AI hater, although I would say I think humanity would be better off if AI never existed. I have taken the road of choosing to embrace it, because fighting it isn't going to do anything but put me behind.
Still, the focus should have been on efficiency in how much computing workload it needs. AI isn't even that revolutionary, it's just we finally got the computing power and miniaturization to be able to do these stupid scales of it. It's still just a decision tree of move, add, compare, jump.

Data centers are an abomination that kill jobs while skyrocketing utilities, other than that couldn’t give two shits about AI in general.
Not to mention cause pollution and destroy nature for absolutely zero gain (if a bunch of terminally online gooners even care about that).
