It's like donating money to any medical research, they get millions from the government. Do the researchers really need twenty bucks from me to push them over the top, or do they need it to pay bigger salaries to themselves?
I feel like an asshole for saying this but I hate seeing St. Judes commercials anymore. I had this assumption that doctors and staff there were working for free or volunteering to help kids. I looked it up and even support positions like janitorial and cooks were paid higher than the national average.
The commercials say you're money is going to help keep the lights on. I doubt that. I'm not suggesting the staff doesn't deserve compensation but stop pretending you're poor when you are not.
