You are conflating current issues with why they wanted to control the west in the first place.
America didnt magically become the strongest nation in the world by accident. Europe didnt bumble its way into world domination for a thousand years.
We are targeted because we had a high trust society built on ethnic, cultural, religious homogeneity. We utilized our common culture to progress and advance and achieve.
We only have to worry about the problem you face because of the foundation I seek. Otherwise it would be AfricaWorld.
This isn't new. I remember being in elementary school wondering if a comet was going to hit the Southern Hemisphere or something, because it looked like that part of the world was being evacuated.
Its very new. It started in the 60s and grew. Thats VERY new when youre talking about societal scales and civilizational scales and generational scales.
