This was my same comment. How does this benefit the studio? It doesn't add anything to the game. Like, it sort of makes sense in Skyrim, because you have a character that your role play as, and there's third person cutscenes. But this is a racing game, the character doesn't matter!

So why even add it in the first place?

My guess is some sort of bribery, ESG grants or something like that.
