Idk, if someone genuinely doesn't know what they're doing is wrong than it's kinda forgivable. In this case, they are taught constantly and repeatedly that they are wrong to trust their instinct to avoid, that this is normal, progressive and encouraged; and that they would be bigoted not to partake in it.
