They sound more married than a lot of people I know. This may be the first instance I've read where people complaining about common law marriage are as wrong as can be.
There's a comment in that thread that says in TX , the couple has to actively present themselves as being married. And, filing taxes ( a legal document ) checks that box.
This thread make me think of a video last week of the divorced man who's divorce ended in the attorney's getting everything. Dramas like these are basically case studies with comments adding more info, and links sometimes to similar stories.
I wanted people to see an example of why drama does teach us when it's the right kind of drama.
