Missed one, never go after corporations that put off the most pollution and instead punish people on an individual level and use it to take away more of your rights. That's usually the argument I use to convince people that it's a scam, it works a lot more often than you think. Specifically mentioning the fact that the activists talk about and go after oil and fuel production and use but never those same companies (in a lot of cases) for plastic production.

The bird-choppers? They get an exemption for killing large numbers of bald eagles every year for a paltry $10K (iirc). You kill one? Jail time...
Never mind the rest of the carnage each one causes every day.
