It's literally a bad vote. They've fallen for an endless stream of bullshit that's being piped into their echo chamber by corrupt and greedy officials.
And I hate to break it to you, but the exact same is true of you.
You are both voting for corrupt, evil people who don't give a flying shit about whether you live or die, and use your vote solely to enrich themselves and their friends.
Alright so let's go ahead and deconstruct this.
It's not "a" bad vote. Be honest, they've been doing it their whole adult lives, almost if not every single one of them.
It's not just "bad" either. It's evil. It's evil to vote for a party that put a tax on white skin on their policy platform two years ago. It's evil to vote for taxpayer funded abortion. It's evil to vote to forcibly disarm the citizenry.
And it's not just vote. In our ridiculous system the only support that matters is what vote for. They are complicit in the results of their vote.
So what that phrase really means is a lifetime of supporting outright evil.
No, it's not "a" bad vote. Every single vote that any living person has cast has been a bad vote. Every single vote that any living person has cast has been for greedy, corrupt, self-aggrandizing politicians. They steal from the taxpayer, they enrich their friends, they live lives of cocaine and alcohol and hookers and orgies, and they pass mean-spirited policies specifically designed to hurt one group of people or another.
It's not one "side." It's all of them. The rot goes all the way down to the root.
And I think there's got to be some part of you that recognizes that. There's gotta be some part of you that realizes that the Administration your vote supports is corrupt - I mean, fuck, the President accepted a $400 million bribe in the form of a golden airplane. And when everyone said "Whoa, dude, that's really illegal," he just said "Fuck you, Alito says I can do what I want."
It couldn't be any less subtle. The President hawks NFTs. The President of the United Fucking States is out there hawking pictures of himself dressed in spandex in the world's most obvious pump-and-dump scheme. He doesn't even pretend it's not a pump-and-dump. He literally steals from his own dumbest voters and supporters just because he can.
Do you really think he gives a shit about your beliefs or your religion? Are you just absolutely thrilled that he put his Jewish son-in-law in charge of practically half the government? That he put women in charge of everything from Justice to National Intelligence to Homeland Security? That he's obviously never read the Bible but thinks he can win over Evangelicals with AI slop depicting himself as Jesus Christ?
Was that a good vote, Kaarous?
Ah yes so now we're at the part where, unable to argue the point you just throw up your hands and declare that nothing matters anyway. Forgive my shitty Catholic Latin, "Appellare ad Nihilo."
Appealing to nihilism will get you nowhere with me.
But if you were trying to say that democracy is an inherently invalid paradigm functionally indistinguishable from a Mafia state, then I'd agree and suggest it be violently overthrown. Alongside punishing those who benefitted from it.
But then we're right back around the circle again aren't we.
Soooo you're arguing that I'm being nihilistic by arguing that no one is casting a good vote; and then you're practically rephrasing my argument by saying that democracy itself should be violently overthrown.
