Shakshouka is a tasty dish of eggs in tomatos and peppers. It's often seen as the national dish of Israel. Arabs get their panties in a wad because they it was stolen from Tunisian (or Algeria or Libya or whatever). Turks get mad because they say it was a food of the Ottoman court (today, menemen).

Fuckers, it was Europeans who brought you both peppers and tomatoes. The first recorded reference to shakshouka goes back barely 100 years, to the 1890s. The Italians had eggs in purgatory for probably a century before that.
