The government will ALWAYS have shit security because they by existing, create an atmosphere of complacency among their staff.

Combined with growing resentment due to unpopular policies making them a target for hackers, anything they purpose like this will be breached in days meanwhile companies like Steam are golden and I know, comparing a gaming platform to government institutions is an unfair comparison but I'm trying to say how resentment makes one a much more attractive hacking target.
