The imminent shift is more than just these by-elections, they are actively recruiting MANY opposition party members. This used to be a total taboo! Only if the member approached your party would you ever talk about crossing. Now almost every Conservative is bombarded with offers.
Indeed, the % of people in Alberta supporting separation shot up to 42% last week, before the "majority" was finalized. It will continue to grow as the Liberals continue to screw all of Canada, the Western Provinces EXTRA bad!
