The ceasefire in Lebanon was one of the main conditions for Iran to stop attacking Israel and to open the Strait of Hormuz. But Israel did not respect this condition, saying it did not concern Iran, and continued to attack Lebanon, killing and wounding at least 100 people. Trump said that it did indeed not concern Lebanon and even called it "a completely different skirmish."

Honestly Iran are playing their hand very well. Their winning move is obviously to change the narrative to reflect reality that Israel attacks are causing the straight to be closed.
If the US has to go back in because of Israel breaking the ceasefire for another round of futile engagements, which everyone will now know is futile it's really an effective strategy for Iran. And one that they can keep up for a long time. Unfortunately for the world it's a MAD as the world kind of needs energy.
