Loved the art-style of the first game -- that liminal castle near the end of the game with the massive tower was an absolute trifle to play through, but it looked breathtaking.
The problem -- as others already said -- is that this is basically the same game people have been playing since Demon's Souls in 2009.
17 years on and the only upgrades are in responsiveness and graphics.
Even if games aren't explicitly woke, the fact that there has been zero innovation where it counts is equally as troubling.
Reminds me of that game Exodus and that Expanse game -- I keep getting them confused because the gameplay in both almost look identical to one another, and they're basically just Mass Effect 3 with "modern" graphics.
