Seriously. Not a clue. I'm guessing he's actually some billionaire super-actor, then? I don't follow the latest and greatest hits of Epstein's Lists.
Not a super actor, but a long time establishment actor.
He was the educated black man kidnapped and enslaved by dirty rednecks in 12 Years A Slave. He was also the indoctrinated psychopath sent to kill people to stop them whistleblowing on government attrocities in Serenity.
he was fine as "black science man" in "the martian."
I didn't mind him in 12 years a slave though that film I'd only watch once, too heavy, could only watch it on a plane flight.
But overall he's a great supporting actor. He can be the main actor but he's good at elevating the other characters near him like in The Martian.
Oh, "Not a super actor" wasn't meant to be an assessment of the quality of his acting, just his level of fame. Like he's not a superstar like George Clooney or Tom Cruise. I just mirrored the super actor phrasing that had already been used without realizing it was a more ambiguous way to say it.
