The government in Sweden amended a law in nov 2023 that states that everyone who comes here on a work visa needs to make a minimum amount of the median salary from 50% to 80%, and that is going up to 90% of median salary on June 1st this year. This applies to all new work visas as well as any renewals. Suddenly it becomes much less profitable to hire jeets.
But there have been murmurs that they will expand on the law further and make it even stricter on a per sector basis which would mean the tech sector would have to comply with it too as the median salary there is 47k compared to 37k overall.
I 100% expect the EU to clamp down on that, given how they're so eager to start forcefully importing jeets. It will only take one lawsuit to reach Ursula's ears
Of course! Because there exists three options: H1B to the states, use AI in place of all humans and hope for the best, or pay people a realistic wag-
