That has to be the most generic AAA TPS gameplay I've seen in a long while.
This is basically Uncharted 4's gameplay with a Mass Effect skin.
I always think back about the progress we saw from the 1980s to the 1990s. From 1986 to 1996 we went from 8-bit minimalist pixel gaming to full-on real-time 3D gameplay. From 2016 (Uncharted 4's release) to 2026 (Exodus gameplay), literally nothing has changed.
The 3D AGPs from the late 1990s gave us a glimpse into what we thought we were going to get from gaming in the future, and the PhysX chips gave us a glimpse into physics possibilities, yet here we are, with zero advancements over the last 15 years.
