That has to be the most generic AAA TPS gameplay I've seen in a long while.
This is basically Uncharted 4's gameplay with a Mass Effect skin.
I always think back about the progress we saw from the 1980s to the 1990s. From 1986 to 1996 we went from 8-bit minimalist pixel gaming to full-on real-time 3D gameplay. From 2016 (Uncharted 4's release) to 2026 (Exodus gameplay), literally nothing has changed.
The 3D AGPs from the late 1990s gave us a glimpse into what we thought we were going to get from gaming in the future, and the PhysX chips gave us a glimpse into physics possibilities, yet here we are, with zero advancements over the last 15 years.
It's definitely aping Mass Effect. Its characters reek of modern agenda though. Lots of mystery meat, and ugly to be found.
Kinda looks cool.
Uncharted in space?
