Brendan Carr, chairman of the FCC, has threatened to revoke broadcasters’ licenses over their coverage of the war, accusing several media outlets of “running hoaxes and news distortions.”
They really are not hiding it any more.
Where does that say anything about press credentials?
As the press is granted special privileges not afforded to the general public, they are consequently burdened with special responsibilities not demanded of the public. To wit, the press must be prevented from lying–in any form–under penalty of imprisonment and/or broadcast license revocation.
